# OpenPing > OpenPing watches websites, APIs, MCP servers and AI agents, and checks that they are not only up but answering right. Paste a URL and get monitors, alerts and a status page in a minute. OpenPing checks websites, APIs, MCP servers, AI gateways and AI agents on a schedule, from several regions, and says plainly when something is down, slow or answering wrong. An AI agent can use it through an MCP server, a REST API with an API key, or the `openping` CLI in CI. Every docs page below is plain Markdown; https://openping.ai/llms-full.txt has all of them in one file. OpenPing is in early access: people join the waitlist at https://openping.ai/early-access, and an account (and so an API key) comes with access. ## Docs: Start - [Quickstart](https://openping.ai/docs/quickstart.md): From a URL to monitors, alerts and a status page. ## Docs: What it checks - [Monitors](https://openping.ai/docs/monitors.md): Each type and what it checks. - [Agent tests](https://openping.ai/docs/agent-tests.md): Ask a question on a schedule and judge the answer. - [MCP monitors](https://openping.ai/docs/mcp-monitors.md): The handshake, the tool list and every change to it. - [Heartbeats](https://openping.ai/docs/heartbeats.md): Know when a scheduled job is late or fails. ## Docs: When something breaks - [Alerts](https://openping.ai/docs/alerts.md): Who hears about what, and how it stays calm. - [Status pages](https://openping.ai/docs/status-pages.md): A page your users can trust, made for you. ## Docs: Build with it - [Monitors as code](https://openping.ai/docs/monitors-as-code.md): Keep monitors in openping.yml in your repo. - [CLI](https://openping.ai/docs/cli.md): Run the same checks on a laptop and in CI. - [API](https://openping.ai/docs/api.md): Everything the app can do, over REST. - [MCP server](https://openping.ai/docs/mcp-server.md): Let your AI assistant set up and read monitoring. - [For AI agents](https://openping.ai/docs/agents.md): How an agent uses OpenPing end to end, and what needs a person’s yes. ## Connect - [MCP server](https://mcp.openping.ai): Streamable HTTP.
